Elite Instruction! Ages 7-13 Cost: $225

The UBC Baseball team is excited to once again offer elite summer instruction to players throughout BC. The focus of our camps will be to provide high-level instruction to create a strong foundation of baseball skills in a fun and competitive atmosphere.

Our instructors are UBC coaches and players who are dedicated to passing on their own elite skills to every player. This will provide a unique blend of skill development through one-on-one instruction as well as practice/game situations in a team environment.

Each camp will cover all areas of the game including pitching, hitting, fielding and baserunning. Extra emphasis will be placed on the specific mechanics for advanced level pitching and hitting not usually attained during the season. Don''t miss out on this great opportunity to improve your baseball skills with the top college team in the country!

Programs will consist of Monday to Thursday sessions in various locations around the province. Friday will be reserved in case of rainout.

PLEASE NOTE: THE ENROLLMENT FOR THIS CAMP WILL BE CAPPED AT 30 KIDS.

National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) - Deadline 30-Jun-09 (Revised 6-Jun-09)

The ''new'' NCCP Coaching Certification Program consists of the Initiation and Regional Coach streams which replace the old Level 1 and 2 programs. All coaches not grandfathered under the old system must complete Baseball Canada''s On-line Module and take an Initiation Coach Clinic to be certified as an "Initiation Coach". To meet summer ball requirements come coaches need to achieve "Regional and Provincial Coach" level. This program consists of the Initiation Coach requirements and five 4-5 hour clinics. More information can be found at nccp.baseball.ca.

Surrey Canadian Baseball Association will reimburse the costs of these courses to coaches once they have completed the course (keep all receipts).

NOTE: Baseball Canada and Baseball B.C. have extended the deadline for taking the "Making Ethical Decisions" online component to June 30th, 2009. Any coach with status in the old NCCP levels now has until this date to complete the on-line "MED" Evaluation if they wish to be granted status in the new NCCP. Please see Coach Development tab for more information.
