There is one Batting Cage key and Access card assigned per team, to be used only by the coach or a designated assistant coach. Giving an access key/card to a 3rd party is not allowed. Anyone found to be giving their key/card to an unauthorized person will have their Batting Cage privileges revoked.
Booking the Batting Cage and Fields will be done on-line in the Coaches Corner. Batting Cage and Field booking times are for a 1- hour session, you may use all or some of the individual cages. Booking slots cannot begin before 8 am (9 am for fields) and must end by 10 pm (9 pm for fields). Bookings must begin on the hour.
FOR THE GOOD OF THE ENTIRE ASSOCIATION, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK BATTING CAGE OR FIELD TIMES YOU WILL NOT USE.
Bantam A, Peewee A, Mosquito, Tadpole and T-Ball teams can only pre-book the cage or field ONCE a week. These teams cannot book their next field or cage session until after their current session is over.
Peewee AA should book 7 pm or later on weeknights and all Bantam and Midget teams must book at 8 pm or later on weeknights for Batting Cage.
Double A, All Star A, AA & AAA teams can book once Monday – Friday and once on Saturday or Sunday. These teams cannot book their next session until after their current session is over.
Any un-booked spots are open to any team once that day begins. (12:01 am of the day in question.)
Coaches and Assistant coaches may book the Batting Cage in the off-season free of charge for registered players using the same guidelines as above. Non Surrey Canadian players (ie: any outside users) can book the cage for $50.00 per hour. To use the Batting Cage in the off-season, please contact the President or Vice Presidents.
9u Tadpole teams have agreed to regular established weekly practice times. The following days/times have been blocked from booking:
Mondays from 5-7:30 (Practices)
Tuesdays from 5-8 (Games)
Wednesdays from 5-7:30 (Practices)
Thursdays from 5-7:30 (Practices)
Saturdays 9-3 (Games).
Fridays and Sundays will be the only days available for coaches to book extra practices, rain outs, exhibition games.
