We are excited about your son/daughter’s 9U -Tadpole baseball season that is ready to get started March 2nd with the first of four weeks of Saturday clinics for all registered players.  We will be offering 4 clinics each week, dividing up our total registration in quarters.

The 4-weeks of clinics will be held on Saturdays March 2, 9, 16, 23.

9u Tadpole Surnames A-F ----- 11:00am - 12:00pm
9u Tadpole Surnames G-L ----- 12:00pm - 1:00pm
9u Tadpole Surnames M-R ----- 1:00pm - 2:00pm
9u Tadpole Surnames S-Z ----- 2:00pm - 3:00pm

All players are asked to attend one session per week.  If the  allotted time doesn’t suit your family schedule, feel free to attend one of the other sessions each week to make sure your player doesn’t miss out on this pre-season training.

The clinics will take place inside the Association’s indoor batting cage facility at Lionel Courchene Park.  For new families, it is the large blue building visible from the parking lot. (see map on our website)   All players should dress in warm athletic clothing, long sleeves / layers for warmth, with running shoes (no cleats allowed in the facility).   All kids should wear a baseball hat and bring a baseball glove and a batting helmet.  If you have a bat bring it along.  If you don’t – we  have some to borrow until you figure out exactly what type and size a bat your child should be using.

We are pleased to announce that in addition to our own Surrey Canadian volunteer U9 Tadpole coaches, these clinics will be led by trained professional instructors from the Bullpen Baseball Academy www.bullpen.ca. These sessions will provide each player with the basic fundamentals they will need to start the season in April.

We currently have 37 players registered.  A reminder to all parents of registered players, any existing player who introduces a new player (9U Tadpole & older) to our league is eligible for a $20 "finders fee".  Please have the new player write down your name at the top of their registration.  This applies to any new player provided they have not been enrolled in SCBA  before.  We are aiming for 55-60 players to give us 5 teams.  So if you have some friends who want to play, encourage them to get  registered and take advantage of the “finders fee”.

We look forward to meeting you this weekend…and to the entire Spring season of 9U Tadpole baseball.
