Our league is proud to host two incredible tournaments each year, bringing together teams, families, and the community for a great weekend of baseball. But these tournaments are more than just games—they honor the legacies of two individuals who made a lasting impact on our league

July Tournament - Honoring Steven Dodd

Every July, we gather to celebrate the life and legacy of Steven Dodd, a player who was an integral part of our baseball family. Known for his infectious smile and kind heart, Steven brought joy to the game and left a lasting impact on everyone who played alongside him.

For 12 years, he proudly played in our league. His journey began at just five years old in T-ball, and he continued playing with dedication until he was 18, competing at the Midget level. A skilled catcher and a true team player, he was also part of our league’s first-ever Bantam AA team—an achievement that marked his passion and commitment to the sport.

Baseball was more than just a game to Steve - it was a family tradition. His father contributed as a coach, shaping the next generation of players. His mother, Silvana Dodd, has remained deeply involved in the league, continuing to serve as treasurer on the board.

Steven faced challenges in his young adult years, and his life was tragically taken from him. While his passing was heartbreaking, we choose to remember him in this tournament for the joy he brought to the field, the friendships he built, and the legacy of sportsmanship he left behind.

We invite players, families, and fans to join us in celebrating Steven Dodd and keeping his spirit alive on the field he loved. Let’s play in his honor and continue his legacy with every catch, swing, and smile.
