She was a real go-getter, and we will miss her!

In the obituary is a link to info about a new endowment called the Lionel Courchene Park Legacy Flow-Through Fund.   The ‘flow through’ account has been taken down as a giving option for people – we now have about $9,000 to plan a park improvement project to announce next Opening Day.  

The endowment fund is now the fund we are trying to grow.  Any giving that comes in from now on will go to this fund.  We will be able to access the interest from this account annually for park improvements.  The fund will need to grow significantly to generate much annual interest – the media release is to let a more general public know that this opportunity to give exists.

There, you will also find out how to provide a contribution in Caroline’s memory to the fund that will be used to improve/enhance Lionel Courchene Park for the community, and SCBA for years to come.  All donations will receive a tax receipt from the SurreyCares Community Foundation.
