Hello Surrey Canadian families.
On behalf of our Executive and Board, Fall Ball is upon us and will get started on Saturday, September 11, 2020.
As in previous years, Fall Ball players will move up one year and play in the division they will play in 2021. This helps give everyone a jump on playing with new rules, new field dimensions and with the mix of kids and coaches they will play with next year. By birth year, here are the divisions players are assigned to for this 2020 Fall Ball season, including the corresponding registration fee for each:
2010-2011: U11 - Mosquito ($70)
2008-2009: U13 - Peewee ($80)
2006-2007: U 15 - Bantam ($90)
2003-2004-2005: U18 - Midget ($230)*
Different from previous years, we will be playing using all the same COVID-19 protocols that we have been playing with in August. We will be looking for new 3-team ‘cohort’ organizations to play games with. These cohorts will also be moving kids up one year for the fall. As has been the case all summer, flexibility will be key to ensuring our priority is the safety of all athletes and coaches and umpires and families.
If you are already registered for our current modified season and wish to play Fall Ball, you don’t have to do anything as you are already registered. The fee you paid for the modified Summer/Fall season included in the Fall Ball registration fee above.
If you are already registered for our current modified season but wish to withdraw from Fall Ball, you must advise SCBA by September 4 at email@example.com and you will be reimbursed what your Fall Ball registration fee would have been, based on your birth year, as above. No questions asked – we understand that school, other sports, a dynamic COVID-19 situation and individual family situations are all different.
Fall Ball registration link on our website is open at https://surreycanadian.sportngin.com/register/form/123639030 , only for NEW players. As stated, if your child has been playing this summer and intends to play in the fall, you don’t need to re-register. If you have other children or friends from our organization who haven’t played this summer and would like to participate in the fall – please refer them to our website https://www.surreycanadian.com/ where they will be able to register.
A U18 Midget Fall Ball program will be offered by our Midget AAA partners to all interested players from these birth years out of Holly Park. If you wish to play Midget Fall Ball, see South Fraser Giants link for more information here at South Fraser Giants Midget The program will be led by head coach Tyler Lawson. All Midget players will receive a $100 reimbursement payment from SCBA that families can use to offset some of the cost of the South Fraser Giants Fall Ball registration fee.
