To Register:

 

1. Register and pay online at https://www.surreycanadian.com/registration or

2. Place completed Registration Form (1 per player), a copy of the NEW player’s birth certificate, and all cheques in a sealed envelope marked with player’s name(s) and mail to: Surrey Canadian Baseball Association, #151, 10090 - 152nd St., Box 308, Surrey B.C. V3R 8X8. 

*Make all cheques or money orders payable to Surrey Canadian Baseball Association.  Memo on the cheque should have the player’s name.

 


Coaches will be selected in the following order:

1.     Coached the division last year and is returning to coach same division same team again. (includes All-Stars)

2.    Must have or willing to obtain the required NCCP coaching requirements for the division.

3.     Must have taken the 2 part initiation training components to serve as assistant.

4.    Must be at least the age of 19 to be a Head Coach.

5.    Coaches that wish to coach at the All-Star level must apply before the end of the spring season, coaches will be selected by the division commissioner in the absence of a commissioner for that division the President will decide.

6.    Coaches wishing to move up to the next level or for those remaining in the Division for the next year will make application at the end of August of the current year.

7.    Due to lack of teams in a division it is recommended current Head Coaches remain in a division for a second or third term and assistant coaches be recruited from team parents.

8. The Criminal Records Check portion of the Application form must be completed and brought to the RCMP office to be processed.  If you wish to send it online to them , you can now do so by going to  https://justice.gov.bc.ca/eCRC/home.htm and entering in the access code 2K8P3CT8ZZ

The league fully understands coaches are a valuable asset on any team and are the back bone of the league itself however passing on your knowledge to lower level teams that really need experienced coaches matters a great deal.


SCBA Annual Bursary program for graduating players:

  • Players must have a minimum of 6 completed years with Surrey Canadian Baseball including playing with SCBA during graduating year which would be 2 years Peewee, 2 years Bantam and 2 of the 3 years Midget AA with the final year being the graduating year.
  • Player/applicants must have graduated and be accepted at a college or university
  • SCBA issues 4 bursaries of $500.00 with a maximum totalling $2,000.00 year year.  Bursaries are good for one year only
  • The graduates must complete an application and then SCBA selects who receives the bursaries (maximum 4 per year)
  • Please read the requirements written on the application.

This is a guide for coaches and volunteers as to how to properly set up the field before a game, and what steps are needed after a game. 


The A4K funding program is available to B.C. families in need of financial assistance that wish to enroll their children, ages 5-18, in youth amateur sport. If a family meets the financial requirements to be eligible for the program, they can submit an application with the required sponsor signature and financial documentation. Successful applicants will have up to 80% of their basic registration fees paid for by A4K up to an annual maximum of $600 per child per year. To ensure proper fund allocation, payments are made directly to the sport organizations only.
