Team Picture Packages - available Saturday May 19 at Concession
Attention all team coaches or team managers - Team Picture packages are ready for pickup at Concession. Team packages are organized by Divisions (Blastball, T-Ball, Tadpole etc).
NO individual pickups, must be entire team package picked up by team coach or manager.

The Bullpen Coaching / Player Clinics
SCBA will be hosting coaching clinics for all our coaches and assistant coaches, and also have some team training opportunites with the professionals at The Bullpen training facility.
It will be completely free for all our registered coaches and assistants, and will take place Monday April 23. See our coach development page for exact times.
Also in the upcoming weeks ahead, The Bullpen will visiting Tadpole and Mosquito teams to help coaches run new/different drills, as well as exercises in proper fundamentals.
Lastly, if you are player who loves the game, but otherwise lack the funds to afford professional training, you may be interested in the Bullpens Jesse Penner Tribute Scholarship. It gives lower income and needy families that edge to take players to the next step! If you are interested in applying, please send an email to register@surreycanadian.com explaining why you are interested in getting the scholarship.

Performance Roadmap Seminar with Allan Mauthe
SCBA is proud to have Allan Mauthe, former hitting coach with the Boston Red Sox, host a coaching training seminar this Saturday April 14 from 4pm to 6pm. It will take place in our own batting cage, and payment can be made at the door.
There will be more dates to follow, but this introduction will cover hitting fundamentals, coaching strategies, practice planning, and player organization among other things.

Whether you are a new coach or a veteran, Tee Ball to Midget, you should walk away with something! Parents are highly encouraged to attend, as much of what will be said can carry over with home planning and practice. And through the use of videos and pictures, it will be easy to understand. Hope to see you there!
Calling all Coaches!
Anyone wishing to volunteer their time to coach this year is required to download and fill out the application form located here. It also consists of a criminal record check, which must be done every 2nd year. So if you did it last year, you will be fine for this year. If not, it''s painless though, and ends up taking only 10 minutes or so.
Remember, SCBA will reimburse the cost provided you coach this year for us, so you don''t have anything to lose! More information including registration details located here

We all are extremely proud of Silvana''s recent induction into the BC Minor Honour Roll for her many years of volunteer service to our association. Although her kids no longer play ball, and doesn''t get by the ball park like she used to, she still volunteers as treasurer, and provides us with an amazing service! Thanks Silvana.....Baseball loves you!!
PeeWee AA wins the Western Canadian Championships
The Surrey Canadian Pee Wee AA Cardinals representing BC, traveled to Morden, Manitoba this past weekend, to compete in the Western Canadian Baseball Championships. The Surrey team opened the tournament with wins over Saskatchewan (6-1), the host team from Morden (8-6) and then went on to mercy Manitoba (22-2). They then advanced to the final against Camrose, Alberta. After a hard fought game, the Surrey team came away with a 20-7 victory, to claim the Western Canadian Championship. The first in it''s 35 year history.

SCBA congratulates the Surrey Mosquito AA Angels and the Surrey Pee Wee AA Cardinals on their victories at this years BC Provincials Championships!
We commend The Cardinals coaching staff (Dale Baxter, Kevin Phelan, David Breen, & Angelo Diamantakis) and the Angels coaches staff (Stuart Ludwar, Steven Beasley, Bob Wipf, and Roland Kincek) for their dedication and hard work you have put into your teams. Well done!
The Surrey Pee Wee AA''s will now represent "Team BC" at this years Western Canadian Championships in Manitoba, and we wish them the best of luck!
