A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT:
Welcome to a new year of baseball. As an Association, we look forward to helping each player develop their skills in the game of baseball. We also hope to be able to help individuals transfer some of the mental skills and disciplines into a larger life focus.
In order to further player development, we are trying to take greater advantage of SCBA''s indoor Batting Cage. This cage, now insulated and with an astro-turf playing surface, gives us the ability to train throughout the winter months. We expect to begin player clinics during the off season, and during the season, and want to encourage every player to take advantage of this opportunity. Once you have registered with Surrey Canadian for the 2010 season you can participate in our own weekly clinics at no additional cost. The operation of these clinics will be dependant on the participation of division coaches to help run them. Without this assistance it may not be possible to offer clinics for all divisions.
In addition, We have had members from "The Dugout" and "Big League Experience" offer specific training clincs in the past, and hopefully future, and we are trying to arrange for other professional instructors and knowledgable guests to offer players and coaches as much imformation as possible.
Keep checking in to the websites Player Clinics section for up to date information on various training clinics offered through SCBA, and if you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
