Some members of our association went on a field trip down to Seattle, to watch the Mariners play the Detroit Tigers. The Mariners lost 7 to 5, but it was a terrific game, and a real treat for our players to see. Because it was "little league day" at the park, there was a huge turnout. We all got to stroll out on the field in a parade with all the other little leaguers there, and get a "feel" for a major league park!
Not only that, but to see stars like Ichiro, JJ Putz, Edgar Renteria, Magglio Ordonez, and many more in action, gave our players an opportunity to see their heroes in action!
A big thank you goes out to Shawna McMullin for part in organizing the event...it was a big task, and we thank you!
Shawna in turn would like to thank all the team moms that helped out by informing their parents about the trip as well as collecting all the monies for me. Without them this year, I would have been swamped. Also thanks to Pro Carpet Care for their generous donation towards the trip
