About Us

   The Surrey Canadian Baseball Association is a non profit, volunteer operated organization. We strive to provide a quality atheletic experience for all players, as well as pleasant and rewarding entertainment for parents. We are sure that any parents who have visited our neighbouriong associations during the interlock play or tournaments will agree that SCBA has the best maintained parks and a first class concession. These services can only happen through the efforts of our volunteers. Parks Board provides a minimum of assistance in annual field preparation and upkeep during the season. This assistance has been cut back due to their budget restrictions.

   The volunteer subsidy fee is used to encourage parents to participate in the operation of the league and to keep our registration fees affordable. The fee is in line with other associations and it provides a greater incentive for parents to take the initiative to ensure their volunteer time is completed, therefore obtaining their refund. It is our mandate to issue a full refund to every family once they have completed their share of volunteer work. Non refunded fees are used to pay staff for periods when no volunteers are available.

   There are lots of ways to volunteer your time to the association. If you have any questions, please ask. Volunteering can be a fun and rewarding experience. To our many dedicated volunteers who have been providing their 4 hours (or more) over the years, we extend our sincere gratitude and hope that this policy change will not cause any undue hardship. Remember, please, we are all involved for the kids.

   We are lucky to have a dedicated group of volunteers who devote much of their time and energy to keep the association running smoothly and the parks in top condition.

Our Objectives

The objectives of the Surrey Canadian Baseball Association are:

• to promote, teach and perpetuate the game of baseball;
• to teach sportsmanship to the participants and to emphasize the necessity of fair play;
• to teach mutual respect among players,officials and spectators; and,
• to develop community spirit among all of the aforementioned persons.
